Filmed in a refuge for abused women, Break Free shows the courage of these women, most of whom tell their story openly to the camera. The film chronicles the shelter’s ups and downs, its dramatic and happy moments, and at its heart we get to know the residents and workers of the L’Escale in Sherbrooke.
